Borrow a dog and go for a walk

Friday, August 14th, 2009

Those of you who know me well are probably saying “Susan? Dog???” I am, or was, deathly afraid of dogs but I’m working on that.  This is my friend Greg’s dog, Norman.  Norman has helped me work on my fear and I can actually walk him alone, yup, no fear.  Here I think Norman was walking me rather than the other way around…

How to make a Beautiful Life

Monday, August 10th, 2009

For each yoga class I try to choose a reading for the beginning of savasana, which is the 10 minutes of rest or stillness at the end of yoga practice.  My favorite reading is “How to make a beautiful life”.  I’m not sure who the author is, it was a birthday card that I copied into a notebook and have used many times.

My two favorite lines are : “The next rock in your path might be a stepping stone” and “If you ever get lost, don’t worry the people who love you will find you, count on it”.

I’m sure we have all encountered many rocks on our paths.  We should think of these rocks as stepping stones to better and brighter places in our lives. It takes patience but we need to know that the Universe has a plan for us and it will be in our best interest.

I know I have felt lost many times during my life.  My family and my friends have been there to pull me through, you know who you are… thank you.

Blog slacker…

Friday, August 7th, 2009

Yup, that’s me.  Sorry I haven’t been posting anything.  I will be back on Sunday.  Maybe catch you in one of the yoga classes I am subbing this weekend.  Both early Saturday morning classes for Open Doors in Hanover, and the 7:45am and 9:00am on Sunday, Weymouth studio.

Hope everyone is having a great summer (I know… seems like it just started)  :)
